Close to the Gosport Ferry Terminus with regular services to Portsmouth (8 an hour at peak periods and 4 an hour off-peak) providing a direct link to the Portsmouth Harbour main line rail station as well as ferry services to the Isle of Wight .

The site has a long history of marine activity and employment uses. The area is presently the location of a number of yacht related companies, boatyards and moorings together with other general industrial and office premises.
Parts of the site have already been redeveloped including a number of waterside apartments at the southern and northerm ends of the site as well as the redevelopment of workshops / offices for an existing business.
